Data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre suggest meteorological autumn provisionally began on September 10. Final confirmation will come after Monday.
According to data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, meteorological autumn in Latvia has provisionally begun on September 10.
However, final confirmation of this date will only be available after Monday. If the average daily temperature on that day reaches +15 degrees, September 10 will no longer be considered the start of meteorological autumn.
The currently reported onset of autumn is therefore preliminary and may be revised depending on upcoming weather conditions.
