Latvia's Foreign Minister Baiba Braže (New Unity) has decided to expand the country's list of persona non grata individuals to include two new names — Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin and businessman Umar Kremlev.

Ovechkin was added to the list over his promotion of the aggressor state's regime, while Kremlev is described as an oligarch close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The decision means both individuals will now be barred from entering Latvia. Latvia's Foreign Ministry issues such decisions in response to individuals' ties to Russian aggression or their support for the Kremlin regime on an international scale.
