Wednesday will bring cloudy skies with occasional clear spells across Latvia. Light rain is possible in some areas overnight into Wednesday, and by Wednesday evening a precipitation zone will begin crossing the country from the west, bringing rain to western and central regions. Fog will form in some areas overnight and may linger into the morning in places. Winds will blow light to moderate from the south and southwest, with coastal gusts reaching up to 15 meters per second during the day. Nighttime temperatures will drop to +10…+14°C, while daytime highs will reach +17…+20°C.

Thursday and Friday

Both days will see cloudy skies with some clearing. On Thursday, a precipitation zone will continue moving across the country — rain is expected widely overnight and in scattered areas during the day. Thunderstorms are possible locally in eastern regions. On Friday, only light rain is expected, mainly in western and central areas.

Winds overnight into Thursday will blow light to moderate from the southwest and south; during the day and overnight into Friday, they will shift toward the west and southwest, before returning to a southerly, southwesterly direction on Friday during the day. Coastal winds will be gusty on both days. Nighttime temperatures will fall to +12…+15°C, though overnight into Friday that range will hold only along the coast, with +8…+11°C elsewhere. Daytime highs both days will reach +15…+19°C.

Weekend outlook

Moderately warm weather is expected, with daytime temperatures reaching +16…+19°C. Precipitation is likely across most of the country, especially along the coast, where winds will also strengthen and become gustier.
