Latvian women's 3x3 basketball team advances to quarterfinals in Baku
Latvia's women's 3x3 basketball team won both of its group-stage games at the World Series tournament in Baku on Saturday, securing a place in Sunday's quarterfinals.

Latvia's national women's 3x3 basketball team, featuring Ieva Korzane, Paula Maurina, Digna Strautmane and Karline Pilabere, won both of its Group C matches at the World Series tournament in Baku on Saturday, earning a spot in the quarterfinals.
Win over Germany
In the first group match, Latvia, seeded sixth in the tournament, defeated Germany, seeded third, by a score of 14:9. Maurina led the Latvian scoring with six points, Strautmane added five points and 12 rebounds, while Korzane contributed three points and four rebounds.
Win over Egypt
In the second group match, the Latvian team beat Egypt, seeded 13th, 12:9. Strautmane top-scored with six points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Maurina finished with four points and seven rebounds, while Korzane added two points and five rebounds.
With two wins from two games, the Latvian team topped their group and advanced to the tournament's quarterfinals, scheduled for Sunday.
