Latvian 3x3 basketball: Miščenko's 'Rapid' and national team reach World Series semifinals
Both Latvian teams will continue their quest for the final on Saturday.

This weekend has been successful for Latvian women's 3x3 basketball in a World Series tournament, with two Latvian-represented teams advancing to the semifinals.
'Rapid' with Miščenko
The Latvian club "Rapid", seeded second in the tournament, defeated the Italian national team 12-10 in overtime in Friday's quarterfinal. Miščenko, playing for "Rapid", scored four points and grabbed three rebounds. In the semifinal, "Rapid" will face the Portuguese national team on Saturday.
In the group stage, "Rapid" was in Group A, where they beat Spain's "Fuengirola" 15-12 and lost to Lithuania 13-14. In the final group game, Lithuania defeated "Fuengirola" 20-16, securing "Rapid's" spot in the quarterfinals.
Latvian national team tops Lithuania
The Latvian women's 3x3 national team, seeded fifth, defeated the Lithuanian national team 14-11 in the quarterfinal. For the national team, Ieva Korzāne scored five points and grabbed three rebounds, Digna Strautmane added four points and nine rebounds, Paula Mauriņa scored three points, and Ketija Vihmane contributed two points and two assists.
In the semifinal, the Latvian national team will face the tournament favorites, Azerbaijan's "Neftchi" club, on Saturday. In group play, Latvia lost to Slovenia 11-15 in Group D but defeated Italy 18-17 in overtime.
Both teams will continue their campaigns on Saturday, and if they win their semifinal matches, they will also compete in the final.
