Latvia reach 3x3 basketball Europe Cup semifinal after beating Belgium

Latvia's 3x3 basketball national team, featuring Nauris Miezis, Zigmārs Raimo, Rihards Kuksiks and Kristaps Gludītis, defeated Belgium 21:18 in the quarterfinal of the Europe Cup on Sunday, September 13, securing a spot in the semifinal.

Miezis led Latvia's scoring with nine points, followed by Gludītis with six. Raimo added three points, while Kuksiks contributed two.

Latvia started strongly, with Miezis and Raimo combining for a 4:1 lead early on. Belgium equalized at 4:4 with a two-point shot before Gludītis restored Latvia's advantage with a drive to the basket. In the second half, Latvia gradually extended its lead thanks to Gludītis' two-point shots and Kuksiks' activity near the basket. Belgium repeatedly tried to close the gap, coming as close as 18:20, but could not stop Gludītis without fouling him as he sealed the win for Latvia with a successful drive.

In the semifinal, Latvia will face France, who beat Spain 21:14 in their quarterfinal. The match is scheduled for the same evening at 20:30 Latvian time.
