Latvijas Avīze quiz: would you survive a classic detective story in a remote manor?
The website of the Latvian newspaper Latvijas Avīze offers an entertainment quiz that places the reader in an Agatha Christie-style detective story. The answers show whether you would live to see the big reveal at the end.

The website of the Latvian newspaper Latvijas Avīze has published an entertainment quiz that asks readers whether they would survive a classic detective story reminiscent of the works of writer Agatha Christie. The quiz is open to anyone interested, and its purpose is fun rather than any serious assessment.
What the quiz asks
Participants are asked to imagine arriving at a remote manor with only one life. The quiz is meant to reveal whether the reader would keep a cool head, notice suspicious details and stay away from cellars, secret passages and unattended teacups. The opposite outcome is also possible: curiosity wins, and the participant becomes the first to say, "I'll be right back…".
Readers must choose the answer that best matches how they would really act. The result shows whether they would make it to the grand unmasking at the end of the story.
The first question
The quiz has 10 questions. In the first scenario, the participant arrives at the manor and the host announces that he has made significant changes to his will. The question is what the participant would do. The answer options are:
- ask which room dinner will be served in;
- head home immediately, having read enough detective stories;
- ask who will now inherit the millions.
The quiz is available in the "Tests" section of the Latvijas Avīze website and is illustrated with a photo from Pexels.com.
