The Bank of Latvia will release a gold collector coin set titled "Zelta sēkliņas" on Thursday, July 2. The set comprises five identical seed-shaped gold coins housed in a single capsule.

The obverse of each coin is shaped like a seed, while the reverse features "LATVIJA" in a semicircle at the top, "3 EURO" in a semicircle at the bottom, and the year "2026" horizontally in the center. The mintage is limited to 2,500 sets.

Each coin weighs 0.4 grams, giving a total weight of 2 grams for the set. The dimensions of each coin are 7 by 3.25 millimeters. The graphic design was created by artist Artūrs Analts.

The set will be available for purchase on the website e-monetas.lv starting July 2 at 12:00. The price is €425, with a limit of two sets per person. The coins were minted by the Lithuanian Mint "Lietuvos monetu kalykla".

Collector coins are legal tender only in the issuing country, but they are considered works of art rather than a means of payment. Their price significantly exceeds the face value, and they are not intended for everyday transactions.
