Latvian youth basketball teams fail to reach top 10
Latvia's U-17 women's and U-20 men's basketball teams did not make it into the top 10 in their respective championships.
The summer season is traditionally packed with various basketball championships, and this year Latvian youth teams participated in two of them. The women's U-17 team competed at the World Championship in Czechia, while the men's U-20 team played at the European Championship in Slovenia. Unfortunately, neither of the Latvian teams managed to break into the top 10 of their tournaments, meaning both squads finished outside the top ten.
Although the expected results were not achieved, participation in such high-level competitions provides valuable experience for the young players. The teams had the opportunity to test themselves against strong opponents from around the world and Europe. Future training and competitions will help improve performance in the long run.
