Latvia's national basketball team lost to Ukraine 82:84 in Riga in its final warm-up match before the decisive second-round qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup, following an earlier defeat to Slovenia.

Latvia's national basketball team has wrapped up its preparation for the decisive matches of the second qualifying round for the 2027 World Cup, closing out its preparation with two exhibition losses.
The team first suffered a defeat away in Ljubljana against the Slovenian national team. The following match, played at home in Riga, saw Latvia fall to Ukraine, coached by head coach Ainars Bagatskis. The game ended 82:84 in favor of the visitors.
Arturs Strautins was the top scorer for the home side, finishing with 20 points.
Both exhibition matches served as preparation ahead of the upcoming official qualifying games that Latvia's national team will play in the near future.
