Latvian basketball player Artūrs Mārtiņš Žagars gets married
Latvian national team leader and recent EuroLeague champion Artūrs Mārtiņš Žagars has shared moments from his wedding on social media.

Latvian basketball player Artūrs Mārtiņš Žagars has tied the knot, sharing the happy event with his followers on Instagram. The 26-year-old posted a video in his Instagram Stories showing him and his bride ceremonially filling a champagne glass pyramid.
In the footage, Žagars is dressed in a black suit, while the bride wears a long white dress. The video is captioned "Love is in the air" with a white heart emoji.
Žagars, who is from Jūrmala, is one of the leaders of the Latvian national team. During his career, he won a silver medal at the U-18 European Championship with the Latvian youth team.
Until recently, he played for Fenerbahçe Istanbul, one of Europe's top clubs. In 2025, he became the first Latvian basketball player to win the prestigious EuroLeague. However, the club recently announced that they have parted ways with the player.
