The Latvian bobsleigh team will only compete in one World Cup event next season, the stage in Sigulda, as announced by coach Cipulis. The team will participate in the European Cup and aims to compete at the World Championships in Lillehammer at the end of February. However, due to limited funding, the main focus will be on the European Cup. If additional funds become available, plans could change. Last season, Jēkabs Kalenda’s two-man sled finished tenth overall in the World Cup, while Renārs Grantiņš placed 20th. In the four-man event, Kalenda was 13th and Grantiņš 22nd. The first World Cup and European Cup races are scheduled for late November.
