AS "Pasažieru vilciens" (PV), which operates passenger rail services in Latvia under the "Vivi" brand, has assigned names to four more of the electric trains running in the country.
The newly named trains are called "Baravika" (Boletus mushroom), "Briedis" (Deer), "Apse" (Aspen) and "Osis" (Ash tree). The company announced the new names itself.
With this step, the number of electric trains bearing a name in addition to their technical designation continues to grow, with the names drawing on themes from Latvian nature, including mushrooms, trees and animals.
