Latvians' interest in foreign travel has not declined this season
Despite the Middle East crisis and the resulting rise in fuel prices, Latvians' interest in traveling abroad has not decreased this summer. Autumn is also expected to bring high travel activity.

According to Latvian Radio, interest among Latvia's residents in traveling abroad has not diminished this summer season, even though the situation in the Middle East has added pressure to fuel markets. The resulting increase in fuel prices has also made trips more expensive, but this has not discouraged Latvians from traveling to foreign destinations.
An active autumn expected
Travel activity is expected to remain high in the coming months as well. Interest in foreign trips is particularly anticipated in September and October, as well as during school holiday periods, when families traditionally take the opportunity to travel outside Latvia.
The report indicates that despite the uncertainty caused by the international situation and the related changes in costs, travel habits among Latvia's residents remain stable.
