The Latvian men's basketball team suffered another defeat in a preparatory game, this time losing 77-87 (17:29, 22:18, 17:18, 21:22) to Georgia in Riga. This follows a previous loss in Tallinn, Estonia, marking two consecutive setbacks.
Under the guidance of new head coach Janis Gailitis, the team's performance and results have so far been underwhelming. Despite fielding several key players, Latvia struggled to impose its style. The top scorer for Latvia was Rihards Lomazs with 18 points.
