Latvia international striker Dario Šits has moved to the Netherlands' second-tier Eerste Divisie, joining FC Dordrecht on a loan deal from Italian Serie A club Parma. The 22-year-old's loan agreement includes an option to make the transfer permanent after the loan period ends.

Šits is no stranger to the Dutch second division: during the 2024/2025 season, he played on loan for Helmond Sport, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 20 appearances. Last season, he was loaned to Atletico Madrid's reserve team in Spain's third division, but he failed to make an impact, playing mostly as a substitute and not scoring in 20 matches.

Earlier in his career, Šits made one appearance for SPAL in Italy's Serie C and featured five times for Parma in Serie B. Dordrecht finished tenth out of 20 teams in the previous Eerste Divisie campaign. The new season kicks off on August 7, with Dordrecht's first match away against Jong Ajax, the reserve team of Ajax Amsterdam.
