Latvian startup "Orbit8" grows digital career assistant into international business
Latvian startup "Orbit8" is developing a digital career assistant that helps young people choose their studies and profession by analyzing their personality and interests. The company has moved from an early idea to securing investment and planning international expansion, with support from Latvia's investment and development agency LIAA.

Many young people face a difficult question early in life: what to study and which profession to choose, often before they have a clear picture of how the job market works. Latvian startup "Orbit8" aims to make this decision less dependent on guesswork by offering a digital career assistant that analyzes a person's personality, interests and natural strengths, helping connect them with suitable study programs and career paths.
From early idea to international ambitions
Over the past few years, the company has progressed through several growth stages — from validating its initial idea to securing investment and further developing its product. Orbit8 now has international ambitions, aiming to expand its business beyond Latvia.
Support from Latvia's investment agency
Along this growth path, the company has made use of several support tools offered by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA). These include participation in the "Innovation Academy" program and the "Idea Cup" competition, as well as the use of an innovation voucher and involvement in export-promotion activities. These resources have helped the company both refine its product and move toward international markets.
