The final stage of this year's Latvian Cup orienteering season, "Sigulda Autumn," will take place for the 54th time. The event was founded by Maruta and Māris Mitrevics, and has been organized by the association "A2" since 2012.

"Sigulda Autumn" is one of the few orienteering competitions in Latvia held with a mass start, where all competitors in a given group begin the course at the same time. This format demands strong concentration, tactical thinking, and solid physical conditioning from athletes, since competitors can directly watch and track each other on the course.

Around 350 orienteers typically take part in the event. As the season's closing competition, the fight for overall standings podium positions remains open in several groups, making it especially important for participants to keep a close eye on their rivals.

This year the competition will take place in terrain used ten years ago — the Egļupe ravine and the Silciems forest, known for its beautiful pine woodland and abundant mushrooms. Organizers invite participants to experience the special atmosphere of a mass-start race during Sigulda's golden autumn season.

The start is scheduled for 12:00.
