Latvian football teams have made a strong start in the first matches of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, securing three victories out of four encounters. A standout result was the surprising 3-2 win by Auda away in Bucharest, which caught many observers off guard.
In Skopje, Riga also won 3-2 against the local side, putting themselves in a favorable position before the return leg. Back home, RFS delighted their fans with a commanding 4-1 victory over an Icelandic opponent at their own stadium.
The only defeat among Latvian clubs came for Liepaja, who lost 0-2 at the Sloka stadium against an Austrian team, significantly complicating their chances of advancing to the next round. The return matches will determine which Latvian sides continue their European campaign.
