Latvian Literature Awards website hacked
The official website of the Latvian Literature Awards has been defaced; organizers plan to address the issue with Cert.lv next week.

The website of the Latvian Literature Awards (LALIGABA), "laligaba.lv", has been hacked, confirmed Eva Eglāja-Kristsone, director of the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art at the University of Latvia. Upon visiting the site, a message reading "Hacked by trenggalek6etar" is displayed.
The organizers learned about the cyberattack on the evening of Friday, July 3. According to Eglāja-Kristsone, no further details are currently available, and the situation will be addressed next week in cooperation with the cybersecurity incident response institution Cert.lv.
LALIGABA is the most significant annual event in Latvia's literary scene, providing professional evaluation and recognition for the year's outstanding works. The awards are organized by the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art, the International Writers' and Translators' House, and the Latvian Writers' Union.
