Latvian National Library Allows Drinks in Certain Reading Rooms
Starting July 1, the Latvian National Library permits hot drinks in thermos or lidded cups in selected reading areas to create a cozier environment.

Effective July 1, changes to the usage rules of the Latvian National Library (LNB) come into force, aimed at providing a more comfortable and homely atmosphere for readers.
Visitors will now be allowed to bring and consume hot drinks in specific reading rooms: the M floor, the 2nd floor reading rooms, and the 3rd floor Technology and Science reading room. Drinks must be in thermos cups or disposable cups with lids.
The policy update is intended to enhance the reader experience and encourage longer stays at the library. LNB urges visitors to follow the new rules and maintain cleanliness.
