Latvian State Police took part in an international operation in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, leading to the arrest of fraud scheme organizers. The operation took place in a frontline city where criminals had set up a call center to carry out scams.
The main organizer, a man aged 25-30, was the mastermind and leader of the scheme. His wife served as the HR manager, overseeing personnel and daily operations. The criminals were confident that police would not risk going to a city so close to the front lines, believing they were safe.
However, thanks to the cooperation between Latvian and Ukrainian law enforcement, both organizers were apprehended. The Latvian State Police participated in the arrest. Following the trial, they likely face prison sentences. The full operation can be seen in the accompanying video.
