Latvian cyclist Tjumins competes in junior race in Belgium
Latvian cyclist Tjumins finished 24th at a junior cycling race near Obeliai in Belgium, while his teammate from Slovenia took the win.

A junior cycling race was held on Friday near Obeliai in Belgium, featuring Latvian rider Tjumins among the competitors. Riders covered a 97-kilometer course that included one first-category climb, three second-category climbs, and two intermediate sprints.
The winner
The race was won by Slovenian rider Majs Bohak of the "grenke - Auto Eder" team, Tjumins' own team, with a finishing time of two hours, eight minutes and 13 seconds. Estonian Sebastian Suvi of the "Cannibal - Victorious" U-19 team took second place with the same time, while Italian Alessandro Battistoni of "Pool Cantù 1999 - GB" finished third, two seconds behind.

Among a field of 150 riders, Tjumins placed 24th, finishing 29 seconds behind his teammate and race winner Bohak.
About the race
The event was first held in 1955, giving it a long history. Last year's edition was won by another "grenke - Auto Eder" rider, Dutchman Huub Schoonwater.
