At a Roller Skiing World Cup stage taking place in Italy, Sunday's free-style team sprint event saw three Latvian duos perform strongly. Two of them won their races, while the third pair finished in third place.

One of the winning duos was two-time world champions in this discipline, Raimo Vīgants and Lauris Kaparkalējs, who were considered favorites going into the race and confirmed that status with a first-place finish. The other winning duo featured junior individual sprint champion Bruno Bilāns paired with Valts Skujiņš.

The results were reported by Ivars Bācis, a representative of the Latvian Ski Federation.

The strong showing by all three Latvian duos underscores the competitiveness of Latvian roller skiers at the international level, both in the adult and junior categories.
