Latvian Dart Players Make History with Medals at European Youth Cup

Latvian darts players Amanda Kirilova and Marta Roga achieved historic success at the World Darts Federation (WDF) European Youth Cup held in Ireland. In the pairs competition, they won silver medals, becoming the first Latvian pair to medal in this event. In the final, they lost 3:5 to the German duo Kentzidou and Kummel, despite leading 3:2 at one point.
Individually, Marta Roga won a bronze medal, her second bronze in this competition after 2023. She defeated opponents from Turkey, Slovakia, and a close quarterfinal match against Selina Glaser of Austria, before losing 0:4 in the semifinal to Germany's Merve Kummel. Amanda Kirilova reached the round of 16, where she lost to a Swedish player.
In the team competition, the Latvian girls finished 5th-8th. In the overall standings, Latvia's girls finished fifth with 65 points. Among boys, only Ernest Bulko advanced from the group stage, but he lost to a player from the Netherlands in the 1/32 final.
