Madars Razma and Jānis Melderis have advanced to the knockout stage of the PDC World Cup of Darts despite losing their final group match.

Latvian darts duo Madars Razma and Jānis Melderis have reached the Round of 16 at the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Cup of Darts. They advanced despite a 3-4 loss to Trinidad and Tobago in their final group match.
In Group J, Latvia, Italy, and Trinidad and Tobago each had one win after two matches. Latvia, which had defeated Italy 4-2 the previous day, advanced due to a better leg difference. In the match against Trinidad and Tobago, the Latvians had a chance to win in the sixth leg but missed several finishing darts.
The Latvian pair averaged 79.66 points per visit and had a checkout percentage of 27.27%, including one 180-point visit. Their opponents averaged 77.32 points per visit with a 33.33% checkout rate.
The World Cup runs until the end of the week, with a total prize fund of £500,000. Last year, the Latvian duo failed to advance from the group stage, while Northern Ireland won the title.
