In the large-caliber sport pistol event, Latvian athlete Vasermanis secured third place at a European Cup stage. The discipline involves 30 shots at a stationary target and 30 rapid-fire shots. Vasermanis scored 293 points in the first part and 287 in the rapid-fire, totaling 580 points, enough for a podium finish.
He was just three points behind the winner, Ruslan Lunyev of Azerbaijan. Another Latvian, Ernests Erbs, also performed well, finishing fifth with 578 points—only two points shy of bronze. Daniels Vilciņš placed 20th with 541 points.
In the team standings, Latvia finished fourth, while France claimed the top spot.
