Latvia's women's national floorball team, led by head coach Remārs Vikānis, continues preparations for the World Championship qualification tournament with a training camp in Finland from September 4 to 6. During the camp, the team will play two friendly matches against the Finnish club "Northern Stars", scheduled for September 5 and 6.

The squad heading to the camp consists of 19 players. Twelve of them represent clubs from the Latvian championship, while seven play for foreign clubs in Switzerland and Finland.

Club representation

Three Latvian clubs have the largest representation in the squad, each contributing three players: national champions Riga's "NND/RJTC", Cēsis-based "Lekrings", and "FK Ķekava/Latvijas Mediji". The Kocēni club "Rubene" is represented by two players, while "Irlava/Tukums" has one.

Players based abroad represent clubs including "FB Riders DBR", "Skorpion Emmental Zollbrück" and "UHC Bremgarten" in Switzerland, as well as "Floorball Chur United" and "FBC Loisto".

Next steps

The training camp in Finland is part of a broader preparation cycle ahead of the World Championship qualification tournament, which will take place in Riga from November 11 to 14.
