The semifinal was won by the Danish national team, which earned its place in the tournament's final round. Despite competing on home track, the Latvian squad was unable to secure qualification for the next stage.
The Riga event brought together several national teams competing for a limited number of spots in the World Cup final, with only the strongest teams advancing.
