Sports dance is a discipline that many still do not fully consider a 'real' sport, but in Latvia, this field deserves serious attention. According to a video feature by Apollo.lv, without exaggeration, Latvia can be called a great power in this environment. Moreover, in the near future, sports dance may also enter the Olympic Games.
The video features local coach and judge Sergejs Sinkins, who talks about sports dance in Latvia. It also allows a glimpse into the world through the eyes of the dancers themselves – highlighting stars from the Vecrīga club: Violeta Ļevčenko and Romāns Dobrecovs, as well as Dana Ļebedeva and Kristiāns Kalvāns. The long-standing partnerships are immediately noticeable on the dance floor, and the special bond between the dancers is felt outside of it.
