Latvian Students Dominate in 3x3 Basketball at European University Sports Games
The University of Latvia and Riga Stradins University 3x3 basketball teams have started the European University Sports Games with several convincing victories.

In Salerno, Italy, the European University Sports Games (EUSA Games) are underway, and Latvian teams are performing strongly in 3x3 basketball. The University of Latvia (LU) men's team has already played three games, winning all of them.
On Wednesday, the LU team defeated Lavoslav Ruzicka College from Croatia 21:9 and later beat Germany's University of Göttingen by the same score. On Thursday morning, they secured their third win against the University of Valencia (Spain) 19:14. The team consists of Dāvis Skreivers, Edvards Lucis, Mārtiņš Evarts Zviedris, and Mārtiņš Piternieks.
The Riga Stradins University (RSU) women's 3x3 basketball team also started the tournament with two wins. On Wednesday, they convincingly beat Turkey's Gazi University 22:8, and on Thursday morning, they defeated Jan Evangelista Purkyně University from the Czech Republic 18:10. The team includes Una Šteinharde, Samanta Gabranova, Paula Cīrša, and Luīze Šepte.
The group stage will continue until July 31. The men's team has five group games, while the women's team has four. After the group stage, the competition will move to knockout rounds. Both Latvian teams will play their final group games tomorrow.
