Victory over Georgia

Latvia's U-18 men's basketball team played a friendly match against their Georgian counterparts in Riga on Saturday, securing a convincing 82:67 win. The quarter scores were 20:11, 12:15, 22:21, and 28:20.

Top scorers for Latvia were Ronijs Darels Jeromanovs with 15 points and six rebounds, team captain Rets Eduards Veinbergs with 13 points and six rebounds, and Rihards Čerņevskis with 11 points.

For Georgia, Sandro Šervašidze stood out with 16 points and 13 rebounds, Davids Trapaidze contributed 13 points, nine assists, and five turnovers, and Gabriels Balančivadze added 12 points.

Preparation for European Championship

This game was part of Latvia's U-18 team preparation for the European Championship. The previous day, on Friday, Latvia lost 71:78 to Turkey.

Next week, the Latvian team will compete in a tournament in Madrid against Spain, Lithuania, and Serbia. The Baltic Cup will take place in mid-July.

The U-18 European Championship will be held in Trentino at the end of July. Latvia will play in the top division and will face Italy, Estonia, and Spain in Group D. The bottom three teams of the tournament will be relegated to Division A.
