Latvia's U20 basketball team to face Germany in round of 16
At the European U20 Basketball Championship in Ljubljana, Latvia's junior national team will play against Germany in the round of 16 after both teams finished with 1-2 records in the group stage.

The round of 16 pairings have been set at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Latvia's U20 men's basketball team, which placed third in Group B with one win in three games, will face Germany, the second-place finisher in Group A, on Sunday, July 15.
Germany had a similar group stage record of 1-2, beating Italy 85:67 but losing to Turkey (76:83) and France (66:95). However, a three-way tie between Germany, Turkey, and Italy (all 1-2) was broken by the head-to-head point differential, where Germany (+11) emerged ahead of Turkey (+3) and Italy (-14). France topped Group A with a perfect 3-0 record.
Latvia, in Group B, defeated Poland 77:68 but fell to Lithuania (78:104) and Serbia (66:89), securing third place with a 1-2 record. Group B was dominated by Serbia (3-0) and Lithuania (2-1). The round of 16 game is scheduled for July 15.
