Latvian U20 basketball team defeats Georgia again in friendly
Latvia's U20 men's basketball team beat Georgia 92:61 in a friendly match, with captain Rolands Šulcs scoring 23 points. The team continues preparations for the European Championship.

The Latvian U20 national basketball team continued its successful preparation for the European Championship by defeating Georgia for the second time in a week, this time with a score of 92:61.
Captain Rolands Šulcs led the team with 23 points. Tomass Talcis contributed 13 points and seven rebounds, while Verners Drava narrowly missed a double-double with 10 rebounds and nine points.
The Latvians shot well from beyond the arc, making 14 of 40 three-point attempts (35%). However, their main advantage was rebounding, securing 62 boards compared to Georgia's 40, including 23 offensive rebounds. The team also excelled in assists, recording 27 against Georgia's 16, with Mārtiņš Kilups dishing out five assists.
Both teams committed 15 turnovers. Prior to this game, Latvia had beaten Georgia 98:69, crushed Estonia 89:53, and split a two-game series with Lithuania (91:92 and 93:82).
Latvia's U20 team returns to the A Division of the European Championship after a seven-year absence. In Group B, they will face Lithuania, Poland, and Serbia. The championship will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from July 11 to 19.
