Latvian companies eye export growth for dual-use technologies
Around 200 Latvian and foreign companies showcased civilian-and-military-use technologies at a two-day forum in Rēzekne, aiming to boost exports and adoption within Latvia's own defence sector.

A wide range of solutions
Among the innovations on display were unmanned aerial vehicles, various ground-based technical equipment, communication systems, and medical technologies, including tactical tourniquets. This variety shows that Latvian businesses are developing solutions across multiple niches simultaneously rather than focusing on a single product category.
Forum in Rēzekne
The latest developments were presented at a two-day forum held in Rēzekne. The event brought together roughly 200 entrepreneurs from Latvia and abroad. The forum pursued a dual goal: encouraging the export of these technologies to international markets, and promoting their wider adoption within Latvia's own defence needs.
