Roadworks continue on 58 sections of Latvia's state road network
Construction work is under way on 58 sections of Latvia's state roads, according to the state company Latvian State Roads. The biggest traffic restrictions are on the A6, A8 and A2 highways and several regional roads.

Roadworks are continuing on 58 sections of Latvia's state road network, the state-owned company Latvian State Roads (Latvijas valsts ceļi), which is responsible for maintaining the country's state roads, announced. Drivers should expect traffic restrictions in several places, including temporary traffic lights.
Main roads
Among the main state roads, the most significant restrictions are on the Daugavpils highway (A6) from Kalnišķi to Ļūbaste and on the Jelgava highway (A8) from the turn-off to Lielvircava to the Lithuanian border. On the Vidzeme highway (A2) between Sigulda and Augšlīgatne, there is one traffic-light section.
Regional roads
On the state regional roads, the heaviest restrictions are in these sections:
- Valdgale–Roja (P126), from Valdemārpils to Rude: two temporary traffic lights;
- Tīnūži–Koknese (P80), from the Kranciems quarry to the "Avārijas brigāde" park: one temporary traffic light;
- Ilmāja–Priekule–Lithuanian border (P114), from Priekule to the Lithuanian border: five traffic-light sections;
- Bauska–Aizkraukle (P87), from Ozolaine to Bārbele: one temporary traffic light, while the section near Ozolaine is closed to through traffic;
- Cēsis–Vecpiebalga–Madona (P30), from Inķēnkalns to Madona: up to three traffic-light sections;
- Viļāni–Preiļi–Špoģi (P58), from Preiļi to Raudaka: two traffic-light sections.
