Latvia's men's national volleyball team faced France in their third group-stage match of the European Championship, played in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. France won the match 3:1 (25:13, 25:16, 21:25, 25:13).
Although France, the reigning Olympic champions, proved to be the stronger side overall, Latvia put up a fight during the match and managed to claim one set.
Group standings
After three matches, France leads Group D with three wins from three games. Latvia currently has one win in the tournament but still holds realistic chances of advancing to the playoff stage.
