Publisher Jānis Roze has released a Latvian edition of «History of Livonia», a joint work by Estonian medieval scholars on the history of the territory of Latvia and Estonia. It has already drawn strong interest from readers in bookshops.

A history book titled «History of Livonia» has been published in Latvian. It is a joint work by internationally recognised Estonian medieval researchers and covers the history of the territory of present-day Latvia and Estonia. The publisher is Jānis Roze.
The Latvian edition was translated on the initiative of the book's scientific editor, Gustavs Strenga. It adds to the range of history titles available in Latvia.
The book has already attracted considerable interest from readers in bookshops. That interest was also evident at the launch event, held in the Latvian National History Museum, where the hall was full.
Livonia refers to the shared historical territory of what are now Latvia and Estonia, so the publication may be of interest to readers in both countries.
