Major Heat Supply Modernization to Begin in Lauma Neighborhood
Starting July 27, Liepājas enerģija will begin preparatory works for heat pipeline reconstruction in the Lauma district, causing temporary inconveniences including hot water outages in August.

On July 27, SIA "Liepājas enerģija" will commence site preparation works for the reconstruction of heating pipelines in the Lauma microdistrict. The project aims to upgrade the district heating system to make it safer, more efficient, and more flexible.
During construction, residents will experience temporary disruptions. For instance, parking at Šķēdes iela 11 and 19 will be unavailable, and access to the stairwell at Šķēdes iela 11 will be via an alternate entrance. The company states that work will be organized to minimize impact on daily life.
After the preparatory phase, hot water supply will be interrupted for one day on August 10 across a large part of Lauma. The shutdown affects buildings on Celmu, Koku, Krūmu, Lapu, Oskara Kalpaka, Piltenes, Sakņu, Siļķu, Šķēdes, and Ziedu streets. Notably, at Oskara Kalpaka iela 90, 92, and 96, as well as Šķēdes iela 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21, hot water will only be restored on August 29.
The project involves dismantling old pipelines and installing new ones over approximately 450 meters. The construction is carried out by SIA "EcoHeat Technologies" and SIA "Cactus", with supervision by SIA "CC3". Liepājas enerģija urges residents to be understanding and stay informed.
