LTV presenter Laura Vonda has reportedly begun a relationship with LMT cybersecurity manager Jānis Matēvičs, who is still officially married to another woman, magazine "Kas Jauns" reports.
Rumors have circulated for some time about a new romantic relationship involving Laura Vonda, presenter of LTV's "Panorāma" news program, according to the magazine "Kas Jauns". Her reported new partner is Jānis Matēvičs, head of LMT's cybersecurity maintenance department. Neither of them has publicly commented on their private life.
It was revealed in spring last year that Vonda's 12-year relationship with LTV news cameraman Ivans Milovs, with whom she has two children, had ended. In an earlier interview, Vonda had said that when she started working at LTV she was initially surprised by how many couples formed among colleagues, but later found herself in the same situation — noting that meeting someone at work, where people spend a lot of time together, felt more understandable than meeting in a nightclub.
New partner's family situation
The magazine points to a detail casting a shadow over the new relationship: Jānis Matēvičs is still officially married to Larisa Matēviča, with whom he has three children. Friends of Larisa's, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted the magazine's editorial office to express support for her during this difficult time.
Larisa Matēviča herself confirmed to the magazine that she and her husband have not been living together for several months. According to her, he left the family home and began a new relationship shortly before last year's Christmas.
