Lavrov Threatens Tougher Action Against Western Support for Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with the VGTRK broadcaster that Russia will make its methods significantly tougher in order to destroy everything that, from the Western side, feeds Kyiv's military machine. According to him, Russia is already implementing this approach, and its effects are becoming increasingly apparent to the other side.

Lavrov noted that a growing number of voices from various parts of the world are calling for an immediate halt to the fighting. However, he argued this is not how it will work, saying that hostilities should only stop once a long-term, reliable and stable settlement has been achieved.

The Russian foreign minister said that halting operations along the current line of contact would, in effect, mean allowing the achievements of previous generations who defeated Nazism to be disregarded. With this argument, Lavrov justified Russia's position that it does not intend to move away from its stated conditions for ending the fighting.
