Chinese electronics maker Lenovo is offering the European market its new premium tablet, the Yoga Tab Gen 2, equipped with a large battery. The move matters for European consumers, who have often received versions of devices with smaller battery capacity than buyers in Asia.
A gap between markets
Tablet and smartphone users in Europe have long faced an unfavourable trend. Devices sold in Asian markets frequently boast considerable battery capacities, while Western buyers usually get models with smaller batteries. This difference is typically explained by transport restrictions and regulations.
Lenovo's decision
Lenovo is breaking with this habit by offering the Yoga Tab Gen 2 in Europe with an impressive battery. The available portion of the source text does not state the exact battery specifications or the price, so those details should be confirmed in the manufacturer's official materials.
