Les Attitudes Spectrales earn second Austras Balva nomination in three years

The band Les Attitudes Spectrales has been named among the nominees for Latvia's Austras Balva music award for the second time in three years. Critics this year singled out the group's latest studio album, Whatch The Sword About To Drop, placing it among the ten best Latvian music albums.

This marks the band's second brush with the honor — back in 2024, their album Songs For No One was already among the top ten contenders for best Latvian album.

A wry take on recognition

Band members spoke about their repeated appearance on the jury's radar during an interview on the Latvian Radio 5 program Piektais ātrums, expressing surprise at once again finding themselves among the nominees despite not having actively campaigned or sought attention for any award.

The Austras Balva is one of Latvia's most recognized music industry awards, honoring the most notable achievements in the local music scene each year.
