Lewandowski Officially Joins Chicago Fire

Polish football star Robert Lewandowski has signed a two-year contract with MLS club Chicago Fire.

Robert Lewandowski, the 37-year-old striker, will continue his career in the United States, joining Chicago Fire. The agreement is for a two-year contract.

Lewandowski began his professional career in 2005 in Warsaw, later playing for Znicz Pruszków and Lech Poznań. With Lech, he won the Polish league title, Polish Cup, and Polish Super Cup.

From 2010 to 2014, he represented Borussia Dortmund, winning the Bundesliga twice, the German Cup once, and the German Super Cup once, and reaching the UEFA Champions League final in the 2012/13 season.

In 2014, Lewandowski moved to Bayern Munich, where he scored 344 goals in eight seasons. With Bayern, he became a ten-time German champion (eight titles with the club), won the UEFA Champions League, three German Cups, five German Super Cups, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in 2020.

In 2022, he signed a four-year contract with Barcelona, winning La Liga three times, the Spanish Super Cup three times, and the Copa del Rey once. Last season, he again triumphed in La Liga.

Lewandowski was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2020 and 2021. He is Poland's all-time top scorer with 89 goals in 167 international matches.
