Lebanon May Prove Decisive in Securing Iran Ceasefire

A reported ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran could be jeopardized if Israel continues military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, sources indicate.

According to unconfirmed reports, the US and Iran have reached a ceasefire agreement that reflects President Donald Trump's efforts to exit the conflict he wants to leave. The deal includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which was open before the war, as well as plans to resume talks on Iran's nuclear program, which had been discussed previously.

However, achieving these goals may prove difficult if Israel continues its fight against Hezbollah in Lebanon. It is noted that Trump is tired of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who in 2018 urged Trump to abandon Obama's nuclear deal with Iran, creating the need for a new, better agreement.
