Retail chain Lidl is continuing its long-term initiative to reduce regular prices across various product categories. Since December 1, 2025, prices have been lowered on hundreds of items, and a selected basket of products now costs €116 less than it did back then.

Latest price cuts

This week several chocolates from the private label "Fin Carré" became cheaper, including white, milk and dark chocolate, as well as milk chocolate with hazelnuts, almonds, nuts and raisins. The price also dropped for the "Mister Choc" chocolate egg with a toy, as well as "Combino" lasagna sheets and several types of pasta — Penne Rigate, Cornetti Rigati, Spaghetti and Conchiglie. Some items became up to 29% cheaper.

All the included "Fin Carré" chocolates carry the Fairtrade label, confirming that the cocoa used was sourced in line with fair trade, social and environmental standards.

Lidl Latvija communications manager Zane Neļķe said the company continues working purposefully to keep quality products available to customers at the lowest possible prices.

Lottery and other offers

From August 17 to September 13, Lidl customers can take part in a lottery with a main prize of €5,000 toward a dream trip, along with weekly draws for ten gift cards worth €100 each. To participate, shoppers must scan the Lidl Plus app at checkout during any purchase at a Lidl store.

According to the latest price comparison by market research firm SeeNext, a basket of 28 everyday grocery items was cheapest at Lidl stores. The company has previously reported price cuts on meat products, frozen goods, dairy products, bread, fruits, vegetables, ice cream and other items, describing it as part of a long-term strategy to offer quality at lower prices.
