Leeds Rhinos extend Super League lead with dominant 46-0 win over Toulouse

Leeds Rhinos maintained their position at the top of the Super League table with a comprehensive 46-0 victory over Toulouse at Headingley. The win, their 10th from 10 home matches this season, kept them two points clear of second-placed Wigan.

Jake Connor was the architect of the win, scoring two tries and converting seven of his eight goal attempts to finish with 22 points. He opened the scoring after 12 minutes, then set up Mikolaj Oledzki and Tom Holroyd as Leeds took an 18-0 lead into half-time.

After the break, Leeds were more incisive. James McDonnell touched down from Brodie Croft's pass, and Harry Newman added another, before Connor grabbed his second from Lachlan Miller's kick. Croft and Riley Lumb completed the scoring in the final quarter.

Toulouse, who had scored 106 points in their previous two away games including a 46-0 win over St Helens, were held scoreless. They were missing playmaker Olly Ashall-Bott and fielded six academy graduates. The defeat left them ninth in the table.

Leeds coach Brad Arthur praised his team's resilience, saying it was the closest they had come to a full 80-minute performance and that they had shown good fight and attitude.
