High Interest in 2026 World Cup Semifinal Causes ERR Streaming Disruptions
Overwhelming viewer demand for Tuesday's FIFA World Cup semifinal between France and Spain overloaded ERR's web services, causing brief streaming issues for some users.

The high level of viewer interest in Tuesday evening's FIFA World Cup 2026 semifinal match between France and Spain led to an overload of ERR's web services. As a result, some users experienced temporary problems watching the live stream online.
According to ERR technical specialists, the disruptions only affected web broadcasts and varied depending on the device, operating system, and internet service provider. Most issues were observed among users of the Safari browser and iOS devices.
Television broadcasting continued normally and was not affected. ERR attributed the issues to an overload of systems belonging to the partner providing the streaming platform.
The organization has apologized to viewers and stated that it is working with its partner to ensure stable service even under high load in the future. Spain defeated France 2-0 to become the first finalist of the 2026 World Cup. The match was broadcast live with Russian commentary on ETV+ and the Rus.ERR portal.
