The Latvian motocross duo Daniels and Bruno Lielbārži climbed onto the podium on Sunday, securing second place in the seventh round of the World Motocross Championship for teams in Belgium. This was Bruno's first race after undergoing an appendectomy, which caused him to miss the previous rounds in Great Britain and Estonia, where Daniels competed with a Finnish passenger.

In the first race, the Lielbārži finished second, ahead of the German-Austrian team but behind the Belgian Marvin Vanluchene and Dutchman Ben van den Bogaart. In the second race, they again placed second, this time beating the Dutch-French duo of Julian Veldman and Rodolphe Lebreton.

Overall, Vanluchene/van den Bogaart lead the standings with 328 points, followed by the French team Prunier (303) and the German-Austrian team Primmer/Schneider (270). The Lielbārži are eighth with 163 points.

This season consists of 13 rounds, with the ninth round taking place in Madona, Latvia, at the end of July. Last season, the Lielbārži finished fourth overall, and in their first full season in 2024, they became vice-champions.
