UK Defence Minister Jarvis and Estonian Defence Minister Pevkur announced the increase during a press conference. Additional forces will be deployed from next spring, likely in April. Pevkur stated that the UK will provide assets for deep strikes into enemy territory, primarily various types of drones capable of long-distance flight. Jarvis noted that warfare methods are changing and the response must adapt accordingly. The new unit is specifically designed for Estonia, and a more mobile and faster unit is more effective against Russia. The UK contingent will continue to be based at Tapa military base.
